Library Podcast Column Launched by Charleston Hub & Exact Editions

New regular column Podcast Parade, featuring library podcast reviews by digital publishing platform Exact Editions, has been launched by library industry website Charleston Hub.

London, UK  ()

Each instalment includes key information and analysis, serving as an essential guide to librarians who want to deepen their industry knowledge through an audio medium.

The column starts with basic information such as number of episodes and their length, as well as a summary. More detailed analysis follows, including a breakdown of the format, the hosts and guests, and highlights both ‘a nice touch’ and ‘an area for improvement’ before giving an overall opinion.

Column author Jake Thompson, who is a Marketing & Account Manager at Exact Editions, said: “Podcasts are a really exciting medium through which librarians can share knowledge, inspire change and collaborate. With so many to choose from, the column is designed to give a digestible summary to help librarians decide which content is the most relevant to them.”

Associate Director of Charleston Hub, Caroline Goldsmith, remarked: “Jake’s library podcast column is an exciting new addition to our weekly blog. Anytime we can provide additional resources for our librarian audience on the current issues they are facing, forecast trends coming down the pipeline, or feature topics that would be interesting or relevant in their world, we’re happy to include it! Jake offers a clear and concise analysis of each podcast he reviews, including the strengths and weaknesses of each. We’re thrilled to feature the Podcast Parade.”
